“BETWEEN SPACES”

“Between Spaces” - kahdeksan tuntia kestävä esitys, jonka aikana yleisöllä on jatkuva sisään ja ulospääsy.
John Court on Englannista Suomeen muuttanut, Kyläjoella asuva performance taiteilija. “Between Spaces” performancen hän on esittänyt aiemmin Kemin taidemuseossa maaliskuussa 2000.
BETWEEN SPACES
“On the wall there will be a drawing 150cm by 150cm, the drawing is made up from lines made by pencil. On the floor in the reflection of the drawing there is 1500 shaved pencils in a mound Around the space I have 4 personal stereos (walkman) with speakers. The sound from them is of the pencils being sharpened. Each tape has been recorded individually , so to give a greater sense of the space, the stereos are played throughout the 8 hours performance and placed around the space.”
