1.-23.7.2006

Artists' Association MUU has invited Rombout Oomen and Bas van Doorn from Ki-osk Daily Art Supply (the Netherlands) to curate a collaborating show of Finnish and Dutch artists.

Terrortory is an extrovert show which brings art to the people. The curators have recruited an army of over 70 artists, both Dutch and Finnish, to exhibit and sell their works in MUU gallery, Ki-osk Daily Art Supply shop on Hietalahdentori square and several locations around Helsinki. The theme is based on the statement that war and violence are popular mass products used in the Western society. The execution of the show is based on tactics of city guerilla warfair, but aiming to create instead of trying to destroy.

Terrortory explodes into a dynamic and open-minded happening of art as it has to be experienced in daily life.

Consume Toy, the first exhibition of New Terrortories, took place in Myymälä2 gallery, Helsinki, 21 April - 11 May 2006. Consume Toy presented four Dutch artists working together to enquire into the above mentioned theme and seek new ways of presenting their art.

The third exhibition, called New Terrortory, takes place in PAK////T Amsterdam in October 2006. It will present works by Dutch artists and works chosen from Terrortory exhibition in Helsinki.
