International contemporary art festival Art Fair Suomi will explore the appreciation of creative work as its theme this year. A joint effort by MUU and the Photographic Artist’s Association now in its 12th year, Art Fair Suomi will be open to the public at the Cable Factory in Helsinki 23–26 May 2019.

The festival will bring together latest art trends and interdisciplinarity as well as music and live performance. A new feature this year is an ‘art flea market’ where you can meet artists and browse treasures from their studios –the ideal setting to have interesting discussions about art and see works worth purchasing. Finding contemporary art to have could not be easier!

Another new feature is a program of discussions and performances that will take place on the first day. Covering topical issues in art and cultural policy, the forum will offer professionals new perspectives and ideas on how to operate in the field of contemporary visual art.

Art Fair Suomi will showcase hundreds of artworks by over 200 individual members of Artists’ Association MUU and Photographic Artists’ Association. It will also feature 25 galleries and artist groups from both Finland and abroad. The festival is a must visit for anyone interested in contemporary culture and art. This year’s fair will also feature a unique product launch: 2019 Art Beer Suomi by Kallio Artisan Brewery.

More information on featured galleries and artists will be published later in the spring.

See you in May!
