Performance Voyage 7, an international collection of video performances produced by MUU, will be screened at 24 November 2017 in Pireus – Cultural Incubator, in collaboration with Raczej Gallery.

Performance Voyage 7 will remain in the Raczej Gallery’s window gallery “Perfex Project Wall”, where it can be seen from the street 24/7 until 6 December 2017.

The screening will be attended by Timo Soppela, director of MUU, and one of the collection’s artists, Iwona Ogrodzka. After the screening, there is an opportunity to discuss with the visitors, and to meet the curators and founders of the Gallery, Agnieszka Szablikowska-Trusewicz and Łukasz Trusewicz.

Performance Voyage is an annual international collection of video performances that has been published in different themes since 2011 by MUU. The videos featured in Performance Voyage 7, with theme Protest Song Competition!, explore ao. the political situation and frustration. Performance Voyage 7 includes works from 18 international artists / groups: Kuesti Fraun, Kim Dotty Hachmann & Steffi Simmen, Sasha Huber & Petri Saarikko, Heidi Kilpeläinen, Francois Knoetze, Timo Kokko, Paweł Korbus, Vik Laschenov, Elin Magnusson, Elena Mazzi, Iwona Ogrodzka, Ignacio Pérez Pérez, Arja Renell, Kikka Rytkönen, Julia Schicker, Jukka Silokunnas, Niko Skorpio and Elizabeth Wurst.

The videos comprising Performance Voyage 7 were selected by a jury consisting of artist Heidi Kilpeläinen, Head of Arts & Culture Jaakko Nousiainen (Finnish Institute in London) and director of MUU Timo Soppela.

The production of Performance Voyage 7 has been supported by
the City of Helsinki Cultural Office, and
the Promotion Centre for Audiovisual Culture AVEK.

 

Raczej Gallery is an independent Gallery founded in 2011 in Poznan, Poland. It is focused on the promotion of the performance art. The curators and founders of the Gallery mainly present the actions of young artists as well as renowned performers. Significant for Raczej is to show the diversity of ephemeral arts.

Raczej Gallery is a combination of three places: Perfex with window-screenings, and Pireus – Cultural Incubator – collectively managed, open space for cultural events and larger space for screenings and performances, and a residency space.


PERFORMANCE VOYAGE 7 was premiered in London in April, and has visited ao. Dublin, Peru’s capital Lima, and Umeå in Sweden. The tour takes Performance Voyage 7 to altogether 15 venues around the world. The tour until now:
