Thom Vink - Evidence
Jan 15 - Feb 1, 2004

Drawings and sound installation

Evidence is an exhibition that examines traces and signs. The different elements of the exhibition are like fractions of a diffusing map that could, if we read it correctly, give us enough of material to re-create an incident, a picture or a story. The drawings of abstract stains turn into diagramic representations of areas with a special significance or into microscopic close-ups from material used as evidence. The documented isolated buildings become sites for scenes where nothing or anything could happen.

The scratch table with two recordplayers and speakers gives the viewer a chance to create a sound landscape suitable for their vision of the story.
