The event to be staged in Helsinki on Night of the Arts, 20 August 2020, is a joint effort by MUU and the Museum of Finnish Architecture. An experimental project to join video art and architecture, the event will feature screenings of the results from both open calls. The screenings on the Night of the Arts will concentrate on cross-disciplinarity, with a special focus on how space, environment and architecture can be used in contemporary art both as inspiration and medium. The event will also be used to examine how the architecture museum can be purposed as a venue for video art. The selected videos will complement, comment on and develop further the themes of summer exhibitions at the Museum of Finnish Architecture.
