The disearning buyer will be happy to know that Finnish art seldom gets bad reviews abroad. Food for thought - indulge in impulse buying!”

The Opening of Art Fair Suomi at the Cable Factory exhibition spaces Puristamo and Valssaamo on Thursday September 29 at 5-7 pm. Welcome!

ART FAIR SUOMI offers a new way to get acquainted with the most exciting, up-to-date an fascinating
contemporary art in Finland. The coolest, hottest and greatest art works by some two hundred Finnish artists representing the top of their fields in Finland and even internationally. The fair offers you the latest in photography and the new art forms for acquisition - or just for viewing - all under one roof!

HANKI05 continues its well established tradition of presenting the cream of Finnish photographic art at the Cable Factory's Puristamo - large & small, black-and-white & colour, lush, subtle, delicate, humoristic…

At Valssaamo MUUcafé presents new art forms, including video, sound and light art as well as multimedia art and performance. The new visual art is established as art presented in public spaces and as investments. An electric art work can be adapted to the space available - an excellent choice to fill your chosen space! Video art on your flat screen monitor - a new trend in interior decoration? A moving image in the lobby the image builder for your company? A party piece or program number on any festive occasion - place an order for a performance from the art fair! The State Art Collection, as an example of new type of investment in art, commissioned a sound installation from composer and sound artist Max Savikangas that functions as an audible signal as well as an art work for the users of Iiris - the Service and Activity Centre for the Visually Impaired in Helsinki.

Still hungry for more? ART FAIR SUOMI offers a huge selection of materials presenting the artists and their production - your acquisitions can be tailored to your needs!

Guided tours on Sunday October 2nd and 9th at 2-3 pm, and on Thursday October 6th at 5-6 pm, climaxing in a finale 6 pm onwards with the performances you may wish to commission for your own event and venue.
