Neue Slowenische Kunst [NSK] founded what is probably the most conceptual model state, as it is inseparably bound to the group's complex artistic strategies. On the other hand, NSK State might indicate a conceptual shift in NSK's activities, one which can be seen in relation to the developments in the Balkan region in the 90s. Claiming no territory and existing within and beyond all current national borders, the NSK State claims to be global, yet it is not a "virtual" country as might exist on the Internet. It defines itself as an "extra territorial State", capable of temporarily materialising within the space of any pre-existing state, in peaceful co-existence. Members of NSK collective are the renowned groups Laibach, Noordung and Irwin.
During Amorph!03 NSK-State will open a temporary embassy including cultural festivities as the appearance of Laibach; speeches and declarations of the Department of Pure and Applied Philosophy and presentation of political posters and films of NSK.
